Värån Övre

Klarälven, Torsby, Sweden

Värån Övre is a run-of-river hydropower plant owned by Downing managed funds that is located on the Klarälven river in the Torsby municipality.

Värån Övre was commissioned in 1940 and has two dams. The plant is powered by one Horizontal Single Francis turbine and has an annual production of 1.2 GWh and an installed output capacity of 0.2 MW.

This hydropower plant is located in Sweden's SE3 electricity market price zone.
