Hydro

Mölnbacka

Klarälven, Forshaga, Sweden

Mölnbacka is a flexible hydropower plant owned by Downing managed funds that is located on the Klarälven river in the Forshaga municipality.

Mölnbacka was commissioned in 1937 and has four dams. The plant is powered by one horizontal double Francis turbine and has an annual production of 3.8 GWh and an installed output capacity of 1.8 MW.

This hydropower plant is located in Sweden's SE3 electricity market price zone.
