Tony joined Downing in 1992 and has driven the company's growth from 10 to 300 staff members across 5 offices. Alongside leading the firm’s strategic direction, Tony acts as a steward of Downing’s culture, ensuring its entrepreneurial spirit, client focus and collaborative ethos continue to underpin the business.  He has carried out various roles throughout his time at Downing, with a particular focus on sales and product development, as well as sitting on a number of Investment Committees. He previously worked at Kingston Smith Chartered Accountants, joining in 1986 after graduating from King's College London with a degree in maths and management. While at Kingston Smith he focused on auditing small and medium-sized businesses and qualified as a chartered accountant.
