Bijou Wedding Venues Limited

Sector:
Asset-Backed

In September 2009 Downing backed an experienced operator of exclusive use wedding venues to purchase the substantial Botley’s Mansion in Chertsey and redevelop it into an exclusive use wedding venue. After four years of successful trading – during which over 300 couples tied the knot in stylish surroundings – management was able to refinance the company with conventional debt on the back of the profitable trading history, achieving a full exit for the Downing funds in late 2013.

Downing continues to be attracted to the wedding venue sector and is actively seeking new opportunities.
