Ed qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in 1998 before moving into corporate finance where he advised on over 20 M&A, growth and venture capital transactions for a range of private companies. He then moved to be CFO/COO of a business looking to complete an MBO in order to gain operational experience. He has been working in venture capital and private equity since 2006, most recently advising the Carbon Trust on its venture investments and before that with Bridges Ventures with a focus on the environmental sector. He joined Downing in 2013.
