Open Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) are a popular way to invest in the stock market.
Our OEICs are managed by our experienced Public Equity team, who employ a unique private equity style investment process across all our Public Equity Funds. Each of our products centres around the same set of principles, which we believe are integral to generating attractive long term returns.
Our bottom-up investment process focuses on proprietary research and rigorous due diligence, so that we can understand the businesses in which we invest to the highest degree. Our approach is high conviction and this is reflected in portfolio construction, which act as cornerstones to value creation over the long term. Our Investment Committees provide independent oversight of this process, ensuring our investors’ interests are protected.
The PFS Downing UK Micro-Cap Growth Fund, our award-winning flagship OEIC, aims to drive strong returns by focusing on a core portfolio of 20-30 companies with market capitalisations of under £150 million at the time of investment.
We also manage the QAM Downing Monthly Income fund, which targets a high level of income and long-term capital growth by investing primarily in equities listed on a UK stock exchange.
In February 2016, we were appointed manager of the former SGWM Managed Fund, which has since been renamed to PFS Downing Diversified Global Managers. The Fund invests in a global portfolio of specialised funds to provide access to a variety of asset classes and fund strategies.
