Sector:
Renewables

Asgard Renewables Ltd has constructed a 1MWe waste-to-energy anaerobic digestion (AD) plant. Located in Cardiganshire, South West Wales, the plant has secured multiple waste contracts with local commercial and industrial outlets.

The plant was built in line with the anticipated programme and is currently going through the commissioning stages. The electricity generated once fully operational will be exported to the National Grid, qualifying for Feed-In-Tariffs. The plant is expected to reach capacity during 2016 and to generate approximately 7,200MWh of electricity a year, powering around 1,700 homes and saving 3,000 tonnes of carbon emissions a year.
